Spirit Reiki differs from traditionl Reiki only in the sense that the receiver (the client) is open to receiving messages
from Source, or Spirit or from their guides. The practitioner may be able to help bring messages of healing,
affirmation or validation to you through the Reiki healing. While some people prefer to get a Reiki treatment without
any messages or spiritual guidance, that is fine too.
It is not uncommon while receiving Spirit Reiki to feel that you need to communicate issues going on in your life. You
may be suppressing issues or emotions and it is not uncommon to feel the need to cry or become emotional. You are
safe. Your practitioner is also a minister and spiritual healer who can help you with any spiritual issues you may be
having. (please do not confuse this with mental health counseling. The practitioner is not a mental health counselor).
Your practitioner will listen with an open heart and an open mind and with the channeled information she is receiving,
will pass along what intuitive images, feeling or messages she is getting as guidance for you.
Please understand that it is not up to the practitioner to decipher the messages, but to deliver them to you and help
you understand them should you ask for further clarification. Messages may not always be from your guides or Spirit
or from Source or even your loved ones on the other side, they may be messages your own subconscious mind may be
sending out as a distress call for healing.
Reiki practitioners, with a centered intent to help the client achieve relaxation, reduce pain and/or anxiety, use their
hands to direct healing energy. The practitioner's intent is to support the healing process from a conscious and
compassionate state. The client, to benefit, must have the willingness to (change) that which is to be helped.
The practitioner, if asked by the client may offer suggestions based on her spiritual training and intuitive nature.
Light touch is used on, or above the client's fully-clothed body.
Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize. Unlike other healing therapies based
on the premise of a human energy field, reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become
unbalanced.
Reiki energy has several basic effects: it brings about deep relaxation, destroys energy blockages, detoxifies the
system, provides new vitality in the form of healing universal life energy, and increases the vibrational frequency of
the body.
The laying of hands used in Reiki healing also is used in spiritual healing. There is a difference though. In spiritual
healing, a person with a strong energy field places his or her hands above a particular part of the recipient's body in
order to release energy into it. So, here the healer is the one who is sending out the energy.
In Reiki, however, the healer places the hands above the recipient; however, it is the recipient that draws the energy
as needed. Thus, in this case, the individual being healed takes an active part in the healing process as opposed to
having a passive part in spiritual healing. The individual takes responsibility for his or her healing. The recipient
identifies the needs and is able to draw energy as needed.
